Great Shefford Best in Show 2024



🎉 Come One, Come All to the Most Exciting Event of the Year! 🎉


Sunday 18th August - Shefford Village Hall 🗓️


Step right up and experience the charm and excitement of our Annual Village Best in Show Event! This is a day brimming with fun, competition, and community spirit, perfect for the whole family.


£1 per class entry to be paid on the day.


🌟 Highlights of the Day 🌟


Children's classes:

  • Junk modelling (transport theme) age 8 and under

  • Posy of flowers in a jam jar

  • 4 decorated cupcakes (4-6) (7-9)(10-12)

  • Painting any medium (4 and under) (5-7) (8-11) (12-14)


Homemaking:

  • Jam - any flavour

  • Alcoholic or non alcoholic cordial/ liquor

  • 4 savoury scones

  • Victoria sponge cake

  • Fruit/sweet tart

  • A hand crafted item ( knitted, sewn, crochet, felted, embroidered etc)


From the allotment:

  • Jam jar of sweet peas

  • Vase of flowers from the garden

  • Vase of 6 Dahlias

  • 4 Tomatoes

  • 4 Potatoes

  • 2 Corn of the cob

  • 3 Beetroot

  • 4 Carrots

  • 5 Runner-beans

  • 2 Onions/ Shallots


Homemaking and Allotment classes open to all ages.


Photography:

  • Seasonal photograph of the village and surrounding area.

  • Memorable moment - photograph of days gone by.


Food & Refreshments:

  • Teas, coffee, bacon baps and pastries served in the hall


Activities:

  • Face painting

  • Games

  • Shefford Uniform sales
