Great Shefford Parish News |
|
The Great Shefford Parish News is published
mid-month in every month and is available at the Village Shop and the Petrol
Station for 40p. a copy. As an exception the mid-December-mid January Christmas
issue is distributed free, by courtesy of the Parish Council, to each household
in the parish.
We attempt to publicise all the events of
the communities in the parish from the under-fives and infants to the
over-sixties and all ages in between. Among the most important are the resume of
the Parish Council meeting each month and the Parish Plan Implementation
meetings.
We also carry articles on topics of general
interest including literary subjects, bee-keeping, nature notes and local
history. Further afield we publicise, for example, meetings of the Valley Film
Society based in East Garston.
We are always keen to welcome any new
contributors with matters of interest to the village or with subjects such
as new pastimes, for example a recent article on taking up archery.
We do attract a strong list of advertisers,
both local and from further afield for whom we can offer a readership of
probably a large percentage of the parish and ,of course, all households at
Christmas.
